Performance parts available, ready for pick up or a custom-build.
Providing quality parts and trusted service to the area since 1975.
Vogel Manufacturing began, fittingly, with a loud engine and a broken crankshaft. In 1975, Charles “Chuck” Vogel showed up to a garden tractor pull with hand-built parts—including a billet steel crankshaft of his own design. When the connecting rod let go mid-run, it sent the crank—and the rest of the internals—scattering across the track. Curious pullers asked, “Where’d you get this crank?” Chuck’s answer: “I built it.” The rest is history.
Before tractor pulling, Chuck’s world revolved around speed. Drag cars, fast bikes, aircraft maintenance in the Air Force, and custom machining were just part of his background. He ran a filling station, machined VW blocks, raced motocross, worked as a design engineer, and even dabbled in gunsmithing. When he got into tractor pulling in the 1970s, it was only natural that he’d build better parts himself. After that 1975 pull, the phone started ringing—and never stopped.
Chuck’s wife Virginia was there from the beginning—cheering on builds, answering phones, and even winning a powder puff tractor pull while pregnant with their son Kevin. That spirit of determination and passion runs deep in the family. Kevin grew up immersed in the shop and the tractor pulling scene, earning a degree in manufacturing engineering from SIU. With a background in CNC programming and engineering, he brought a fresh perspective and technical expertise back to the family business, helping it grow and innovate while staying true to its roots.
Vogel Manufacturing is truly a family business, now three generations strong. From Chuck’s early days building parts by hand to Kevin and the next generation working side-by-side in the shop and trackside, the commitment to quality, precision, and community runs through every part we make. This legacy of craftsmanship and support keeps Vogel Manufacturing at the forefront of performance engine parts, built on tradition and fueled by family.
