8.5:1 Compression Piston for IH DT466 Converted to Methanol This is a perfect example of what we can do in terms of custom pistons. This is designed for an IH DT466 engine that had new overbore sleeves built. The stock cast 466 cylinder head had been modified to replace the injector location with a spark plug. It was utilizing stock 466 valve sizes and locations. With no combustion chamber volume in the diesel head a special piston has been built to de-compress the diesel into the 8.5-to-1 compression ratio and retain the existing stock 466 steel rods and large diesel wrist pins. A budget method for creating an International DT466 diesel to methanol conversion!
