VM's Billet Aluminum Connecting Rod has been the most successful aftermarket connecting rod in garden tractor pulling history.
It is a strong 4-bolt aluminum connecting rod. Due to this rod's large cross section and shot-peened finish, fatigue resistance is unmatched.
Features include a 0.875" wrist pin hole in all rods, except the 10 HP length rod (5.562") which has a .861" wrist pin hole. The rods are designed for a rod bearing or insert.
The 5.300" length rod is a replacement rod to use with a 3.250" factory Kohler or aftermarket Crankshaft, combined with the 12 HP, 14 HP, 16 HP, or 18 HP factory Kohler Piston that has a 1.700" C.H. with a .875" Wrist Pin.
The 5.562" length rod is a replacement rod to use with the factory 2.875" 10 HP Crankshaft. combined with the 10 HP Kohler Piston that has a 1.625" C.H. with a .861" Wrist Pin.
Longer rod lengths as shown are for use with several aftermarket stroked crankshafts and numerous aftermarket pistons designed with different compression heights.
